Abstract

            The theme of this research paper is Thailand – China Economic Relation : Trend and Problem.  The paper covers the overview of the economic relation between the two countries in the new era.  Thailand had taken quite a long process of détente its foreign relationship toward China since 1972 and suceeded in 1976.

            This paper is divided into two parts.  The first part is the sketches of pattern, growth and structure of trade between Thailand and China.  It also discusses the issues of trade policies and the problems that still exist with regard to trade between the two countries.  The second part reveals an overview of the policy, strategy and the achievements of foreign direct investment in China since 1979.  Some recommendations are given on the economic cooperations
